I have the drop down menu select installed over a Flash movie. In IE the drop down menu select flickers and
in Firefox it disappears under Flash movie. 8( Is there a option for this that
allows me to have menu lay over Flash?

You can have such effect in IE7. You should click on the flash. Your
drop down menu select will stop flicker.
